About The Lexus RZ
The RZ is the first electric model from Lexus, giving you the luxury you’ve come to expect from Lexus along with the awesome performance of an all-electric drivetrain. The drivetrain is available in three different configurations and features a low center of gravity that delivers superior handling to similarly-sized gasoline-powered vehicles. Advanced technology blends with more conventional luxury features like exceptional ride comfort and interior refinement to give you a unique experience. Lexus named the design language Spindle Body, a continuation of the Spindle Grille language used in the gas-powered Lexus models, and it reflects the way that the RZ is an evolution of the Lexus brand as a whole. For a look into the future of Lexus, look no further than the RZ.
What the Critics Say
What’s New for 2026
The RZ got a drivetrain redesign for 2026, adding both more power and more range. For 350e models, this means 20 more horsepower and a 35-mile bump in range. The 450e keeps the same horsepower, but gets a big range increase to 264 miles in total. And there is now a new trim, the 550e F-SPORT, which is now the most powerful version of the RZ.
Lexus RZ Features

Electric Performance
The RZ is available with three different drivetrain configurations. For maximum range, you’ll want the 350e, which is front-wheel drive, produces 221 horsepower, and is capable of traveling up to 301 miles on a charge. For an all-wheel drive alternative, there is the 450e configuration, which produces 308 horsepower and has a range of 264 miles. For performance enthusiasts, the 550e produces 402 horsepower, which can get you from 0 to 60 in just 4.1 seconds, and will travel 229 miles on a full charge. That’s some serious power for a compact SUV, especially one as comfortable and practical as the RZ. And the RZ can charge quickly as well, adding as much as 3 miles per minute on a DC fast charger.

Luxury Interior
Lexus has always done an excellent job of making vehicles with a comfortable ride and quiet interior, but with the electric drivetrain in the RZ, that’s taken even further. On top of that, standard features include things like heated seats and a heated steering wheel, with available heated rear seats and a radiant knee heater for the front. For upholstery, you have a choice of NuLuxe® or Ultrasuede®, both of which are soft and durable. There is an available panoramic glass roof to give you an open feeling with lots of natural light, and the available Dynamic Sky™ feature lets you turn the glass opaque with a touch of a button. And we do mean a button, as the RZ differs from other starkly minimalist EV interiors by offering physical buttons for the most-used features, as well as a large, 14-inch touchscreen for more complex features. It’s an approach that cuts down on button clutter without forcing drivers into a frustrating experience of having to navigate endless menus for even basic functions.

Exceptional Safety
Advanced technology is important to every aspect of the RZ, and safety is absolutely no different. This includes conventional/passive systems like the nine airbags, or the available head-up display that helps you to keep your eyes on the road. But the most advanced features are included in the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of safety technologies, which is standard on the RZ. This includes features such as All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Intersection Support, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, and Intelligent High Beams.
