About the Lexus NX Plug-In Hybrid
Building on the versatility and luxury of the Lexus NX and NX Hybrid models, NX 450h+ Plug-In Hybrid takes things to another level by introducing a powerful and zippy in-line 4 plug-in hybrid engine that uses the combined power of gas and electric engines to drive 304 horsepower and a 6.0-second 0-60 time. What’s more, the electric engines are capable of taking over themselves, offering 37 miles of range while running exclusively on the battery. A hefty, and standard, 14.0-inch infotainment system and rich interior detailing show that the NX 450h+ is more than just a nice powertrain.
As with every Lexus, the NX Plug-In Hybrid line comes with the standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes nearly every assistance tool imaginable to remove stress from the driving experience, from dynamic radar cruise control, to lane departure alert with steering assist and road sign assist.

For 2026, Lexus has added a third trim level to the NX 450h+ lineup, the entry-level Premium, which starts at $59,505 MSRP*. Additionally, Infrared has been introduced as a new paint color option in 2026, and Ultra White is now available on all vehicles as well.

Crafted for Comfort
When climbing into any Lexus, there are certain expectations of both luxury and technology, and the NX 450h+ exceeds them on each dimension. For instance, the 14.0-inch infotainment center equipped with Lexus Interface, as well as Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility — an upgrade on most Lexus NX models — is standard on each 450h+, as are things like a perforated leather-trimmed interior, along with heated and ventilated front seats that adjust in eight different ways, including four-way power lumbar adjustment. That’s plenty to ensure an elite ride, but it’s the details that truly separate Lexus. To that end, a standard 10-speaker premium sound system can be upgraded to a 17-speaker, 1800-watt Mark Levinson® system in the Luxury trim, and an available panorama glass roof adds a wow factor to the cabin.
True Hybrid Strength
“Performance” isn’t necessarily the first word that comes to mind when discussing a compact luxury crossover SUV, but Lexus NX Plug-In Hybrids are the sort of vehicles that can shift that sort of thinking. Its in-line 4 plug-in hybrid engine can thrill any driver with 304 net combined horsepower (accounting for both its front gas and rear electric inputs), allowing it to accelerate up to 60 MPH in just 6.0 seconds. Its continuously variable transmission and all-wheel drive help smooth out the ride, while the available F SPORT Handling trim can take things to the next level with its specially-tuned and adaptive suspension. In other words, the Lexus NX 450h+ truly is an extraordinary vehicle, one that blends the refined character of a Lexus with an adrenaline surge.
An Electrified Driving Experience
On top of all of that, the NX 450h+ adds a dose of versatility to its power. Though it operates as a conventional gas/electric hybrid most of the time, it also has the ability to run exclusively on its 18.1-kWh battery pack, with a range of 37 miles when powered by electricity alone. After those 37 miles, it’s easy to get 37 more, as the battery can be charged from 0 to 100 percent in just 4.5 hours when using a 240-volt power source. Even using a typical household 120-volt outlet and the standard 24-foot Level 1 EV charging cable, it can be replenished in 12 hours. However, you won’t notice much of a difference when the NX 450h+ is operating as a hybrid; it gets an EPA-estimated 84 MPGe.
